Sunday Dinner

23rd June 2013

I long for Sundays. As a self employed chef, hubby doesn’t get much time off at weekends but tries to make an effort to have sundays off if possible. Today I got a double treat of him being off and cooking dinner! We found a nice rack of lamb in the freezer that we forgot we had bought, and whipped off to Sainsbury’s to let Lee ponder on what he wanted to cook with it, and this is what he came up with.

As usual when Lee is cooking I like to potter around and see what he is doing and how he does things. I generally get under his feet and annoy him ( out kitchen is not the largest) and today I brought in the added nuisance of my camera, trying to snap some action shots of the master at work!

His finished creation was as follows;

Pan fried rack of lamb, aubergine puree, fondant potato, peas with pancetta, chargrilled baby gem and english asparagus with a red wine jus.

    That’s a handsome looking rack of lamb and chargrilled baby gem too, love it.
