BrumYumYum is a street food extravaganza – it takes over the Village square in Kings Heath on the second saturday of every month. It was also recently selected as one of the top 5 food attractions in Birmingham by Visit Britain. It has been going since April this year, and is gathering custom and followers at a rapid pace. The food range is extensive, loads of different styles and cultures are represented. A lot of its vendors can also be spied down at Digbeth Dining Club of a Friday, but they also have many others. This month there was a pop up bar from The Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath, and also some chefs from the restaurant Fiesta Del Asado, part of the Lasan Group selling bavette steaks with chimichurri. There is always great music and some extra fun stuff (for example this month there was a rodeo bull riding challenge…) which all in all makes for a fab atmosphere. BrumYumYum also pop up in different areas…checkout their website for more details of exciting events such as BYYUnderground.
I’ll let the photos do the talking, but I’d encourage everyone to get on down to BrumYumYum for a simply sensational street food saturday!
