Foodie Things to do in…..Moseley

18th April 2014

Continuing my series of post about local suburbs, villages and towns, I wanted to write a little bit about Moseley. Moseley is somewhere I’m still not that familiar with but over the last year or so we’ve been over quite a few times and are beginning to discover some of it’s gems.

I’ll start off with Carters of Moseley, a firm favourite for good food. It is great for fine dining and is really focused on local and seasonal ingredients.  If you’re eating out in Moseley a few other to check out are La Plancha for Tapas and Piquant for Indian.

Moseley also has a lot to offer during the day, including the absolutely fabulous Deli, Lewis’s of Moseley. This is packed to the rafters of great foodie bits and pieces; deli staples as well as fresh cheese, olives and cake. Speaking of cake, you also need to check out BAKE Shop. Mouthwatering cakes on offer here.

At the weekends you can sometimes find a great market, such as the Moseley Farmers Market. There is always great and local produce available and we love to do our food shopping here for the week. Theres always some goodies on offer, for example these humungous scotch eggs and gigantic burritos a few weeks ago! (see below!) More recently the Flying Flea market has also popped up in Moseley, combing awesome street food vendors with loads of other stalls too.

Have you got any foodie gems or recommendations for Moseley? I’d love to know about them!!
